Type
Required field. The search may include:

• Laws - Federal or State statutes
• Legislation (Proposed Laws) - Federal or State bills (all houses)

Check either or both boxes.

Jurisdiction
Required field. Select the jurisdiction you would like to search for laws and legislation. You may choose to search all jurisdictions or you can select multiple jurisdictions by holding down the Ctrl key.

Categories
Optional field. Choose the category of law or legislation to search. You may choose to search all categories or you can select multiple categories by holding down the Ctrl key.

Keywords
Optional field. Enter any number of keywords, separated by commas. Keywords are not case-sensitive. For example:

• dog, bite (searches for "dog" and "bite")
• dog bite (searches for the term "dog bite")

Bill/Citation
Optional field. Enter all or part of the bill or statute's citation. For bills, format as "SB123" (Senate Bill) or "HB123" (House Bill) omitting hyphens, spaces, etc...

Session/Year
Legislation Searches Only. Optional field. Legislation searches only.

• Session (optional) - the legislative session
• Year (required) - multiple years allowed, must be separated by commas without spaces

Name
Optional field. Enter part or all of the name of the bill or statute. Search is not case-sensitive.

Authors/Sponsors
Legislation Searches Only. Optional field. Enter the name of any bill's authors or sponsors.
